Is it time for smartphone companies that aren't Samsung,Historical Archives Motorola ,or Huawei to get into foldable phones? Judging by the increasing number reports about foldables from other manufacturers, it could be.

On Twitter, leaker Jon Prosser said that the rumored Google foldable phone, called the Pixel Fold, is real, and is coming either in late 2021 or late 2022.

This confirms earlier reports that mention a potential Google-branded, foldable smartphone. We've heard it from Cnet in 2019, and then in August last year, 9to5Google said it had reviewed an "internal Android document" which claimed that a foldable Google phone, codenamed "passport," is coming in the fourth quarter of 2021.

Prosser's short report was also confirmed by DSCC analyst Ross Young, which said in December that the second half of 2021 will be exciting for foldables, with many new models coming from Samsung, Oppo, Vivo, Xiaomi, and one from Google.

There's no word on what the rumored Pixel Fold might look like, or its specifications. It might have a Samsung display, according to a recent report that claimed Oppo, Xiaomi, and Google are all ordering foldable displays from Samsung Display.
